I love Lindsay Lohan and Samantha Ronson. As should be known all over the world now, they broke up some time in April (I wrote a post about her eHarmony parody) but recently have been seen spending time together but not in public. We see Lindsay walking in and out of Samantha’s house and stuff like that.
Anyway, I am starting to sense some product placements going on…

The photos aren’t in chronological order and there’s more of course… the point is … look at how many times LV pops up! I mean… really now… you can investigate further at x17online.com, a site that seems to have a lot of Lindsay Lohan and Samantha Ronson ‘exclusives’ too. Not that that’s a bad thing. I was just looking at their top stories and ‘most commented’ posts and they are all Lindsay Lohan and Samantha Ronson related. I mean if you have good rapport with a celebrity you’re bound to get the good stuff.
Isn’t that interesting?!
YEAY to my favourite couple! And people do want to know and read more… which shows how much interest the public have in them first of all. She really ‘never loses her Google hits” << quote from her funnyordie video. And it's true 'cos Lindsay Lohan was the top searched gay according to Advocate.com.
I had wanted to talk about my previous post on the funnyordie video – the only thing I can recall now is this interesting trivia for you – eHarmony launched a gay dating site called “Compatible Partners“. But do you know when they launched it? April 1st, 2009. About a few days before Lindsay Lohan and Samantha Ronson’s ’split’ and the release of the funnyordie video. I guess in my momentum, they had to build momentum so create this big story of a break-up so people would be curious and I do believe the funnyordie video made headline news all over the world. I remember logging into to Yahoo! News and it was top stories on the Entertainment page.
Do you think I’m reaching with my theories? That the break-up wasn’t really break-up? That everything is all about product placement and endorsement deals?
Which makes me wonder a lot about celebrity land. Do we really know what is going on?! Do we?! I think we’re being manipulated without even knowing it! Which is cool ‘cos you have to applaud the people who do this and make it all convincing! I think this is what makes it so intriguing! I love this industry! I don’t mind it though and I’m not calling them out and wanting them to stop any of this! Carry on this madness!
